    Ferrous Sulfate:

    Ferrous sulphate is an inorganic material, chemical formula FeSO4, appearance of white powder without smell. Its crystalline hydrate at room temperature for the seven hydrates, commonly known as "green alum", light green crystals, weathering in dry air, surface oxidation into brown alkaline ferrous sulphate in moist air, at 56.6 ℃ to become tetrahydrate, at 65 ℃ to become a hydrate. Ferrous sulphate is soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol.


Its application in water treatment is:

The coagulation of ferrous sulphate is not only applied in decolourisation and phosphorus removal, but also its strong redox property is particularly effective in the treatment of hexavalent chromium, zinc and other heavy metals in wastewater.
