EINECS Accession Number: 233-140-8

Melting point: 772 ℃

Boiling point: 1600 ℃

Water solubility: easily soluble in water, at the same time releasing a lot of heat, its aqueous solution is slightly acidic, soluble in alcohol, acetone, acetic acid

Density: 2.15 g/cm³

Appearance: colorless cubic crystal, general industrial products are white or off-white porous block or granular

Use:

Industrial applications

1. Used as a multi-purpose desiccant, such as drying of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide and other gases. Used as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers and acrylic resins. Calcium chloride aqueous solution is an important refrigerant for refrigerators and ice making, which can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of building mortar. It is an excellent building antifreeze. It is used as antifogging agent in port, road dust collector and fabric fire retardant. Used as protective agent and refining agent in aluminum-magnesium metallurgy. It is a precipitant for the production of lake pigments. Used for deinking of waste paper processing. It is the raw material for the production of calcium salts.

2. Chelating agent; curing agent; calcium fortifier; refrigerant for freezing; desiccant; anti-caking agent; antimicrobial agent; pickling agent; tissue improving agent.

3. Used as desiccant, road dust collector, antifogging agent, fabric fire retardant, food preservative and for the manufacture of calcium salts.

4. Used as lubricant additive.

5. Used as analytical reagent.

6. It is mainly used to treat tetany, urticaria, exudative edema, intestinal and ureteral colic, magnesium poisoning, etc. caused by the decrease of blood calcium.

7. Used as calcium fortifier, curing agent, chelating agent and desiccant in the food industry.

8, can increase the permeability of bacterial cell wall [2].

medical use

Indications:

1. This product can be used for intestinal colic, etc.

2. It can be used for itchy skin diseases.

3, for the rescue of magnesium salt poisoning.

4. For vitamin D deficiency rickets, osteomalacia, and calcium supplementation for pregnant and lactating women.

5. Treatment of calcium deficiency, acute hypocalcemia, alkalosis and tetany caused by hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D deficiency, etc.;

6. Allergic diseases;

7. Rescue when magnesium poisoning;

8. Rescue of fluorosis;

9. Application during cardiac resuscitation, such as hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia, or rescue of abnormal cardiac function caused by calcium channel blockade.

10. Calcium chloride solution can induce actin monomer to polymerize, and the critical concentration of actin monomer to start polymerizing is inverse-curve function relationship with the concentration of calcium chloride solution. The specific mechanism of actin-induced polymerization is related to the binding of calcium ions to multiple specific sites of the protein

Danger:

Route of entry: dust inhalation, ingestion

Health Hazards: Dust can burn, irritate the nasal cavity, mouth, and throat, and can also cause epistaxis and damage nasal tissue; dry powder can irritate the skin, and solutions can severely irritate or even burn the skin

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of running water.

Eye Contact: Lift the eyelids and flush with running water or normal saline. seek medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove from site to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. seek medical attention.

Ingestion: Drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. seek medical attention.

Hypercalcemia caused by medical injection: cardiac arrest.

Storage Notes:

Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Packaging containers must be sealed to prevent moisture. Stacked separately from deliquescent items.
